Comparable performance and exhaust emission with conventional carburetor was obtained by a low pressure air assisted in-cylinder injection system. And lean burn of idling and light load operation till A/F=70 was realized by installing a spark plug and a reed type injection nozzle in a divided combustion chamber of a 4-cycle gasoline engine.
