Abstract
In order to research the mechanism of high frequency noise generation of stainless steel exhaust manifold, we made the experiment of speaker excitation or numerical calculation of model pipe. The result is, the part of bending or elbow is excited by the impulsive pressure of exhaust gas and generate a vibration, and the generated vibration is spread over a manifold and radiated high frequency noise at about some time. And we study the noise reduction method to exiting part, transmission part and radiation part.
