Configuration Optimization of An Electrical Vehicle With Flexible Joints

The electric vehicles currently under development are focused at making their weight lighter for the improvement of overall performance and one of the current trends to meet this requirement is to select space frame structure and make use of aluminum materials. In this research, we have performed the size and configuration optimization designs for the aluminum space frame of an electric vehicle. We have also examined the effects of frame linkage (incorporating the results into a model), and performed the structural optimization design for both when effects have been considered and when they have not been considered.
