Abstract
In Valeo Thermique, HVAC unit design involves now currently the computation process. However, special care must be taken in order to apply this technique to the blower part. This work has been undertaken in order to check ability of a CFD code, to predict fluid flow behavior in the blower part.
Therefore, parallel to the computations, an experimental bench has been set up in oder to perform 2D laser beam visualization on streamlines in the scroll, completed by 3D laser doppler velocimetry measurements.
The velocity field at the convergence state is analysed in order to check our computational assumptions, according to 3D velocity measurements. Velocity magnitudes enable us to characterize experimental and numerical discrepancies.
