A Descriptive Bibliography of SI Engine Modeling and Control

Abstract
This paper is a descriptive bibliography of recent literature in the areas of modeling and control of spark ignition, 4-stroke engine. The paper provides a synopsis of the state of the art in these areas; additionally, the summary offers a starting point for those conducting research in these areas. The emphasis of the discussions is on the basic ideas used in the development of the models and the control techniques discussed in the research literature. Additional references are also provided as an aid to researchers in the field.
