Abstract
A new bench test method for evaluating the fuel injection pump wear utilizing a ball on three disks, BOTD, has been developed. Wear data from recent industry and ISO studies is presented, including wear variation with additive concentrations, low sulfur street fuels and calibration fuels. This new test successfully separates these fuels.
