Abstract
The problem of the control of a comfort condition in an automotive cabin, is not only related to the control of the inlet air temperature. Since different effects drive the thermal sensation, the capability of an automatic HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) control, should be to learn the thermal habit of the passenger and to compensate the effects of some perturbations such as solar radiation, change in the outlet temperature, change in the umidity. The present paper explains how the problem has been approached by the concept of Equivalent Temperature.
