Abstract
This paper describes a computer aided approach to implement concurrent engineering concepts in “Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica-Divisão Equipamentos” (EMBRAER-EDE). This proposal is mainly based on multifunctional teams, responsible for the whole product development Their tasks are supported by a Concurrent Engineering Environment (CEE) - a distributed information system that provides consulting about the different aspects of the product life-cycle development. This paper discusses some CE concepts and the approach in use. Besides, the CEE implementation and technologies associated are described.
Este artigo descreve uma abordagem para a implantação de engenharia concorrente auxiliada por computador na EMBRAER-EDE. Esta proposta é baseada no trabalho de equipes multifuncionais, responsáveis pelo completo desenvolvimento do produto. As tarefas desta equipe são facilitadas pelo uso de um Ambiente de Engenharia Concorrente (CEE), ou seja, um sistema de informação distribuído capaz de suportar consultas sobre os diferentes aspectos do desenvolvimento do ciclo de vida do produto. Este trabalho discute alguns conceitos de engenharia concorrente e as abordagens descritas na literatura. Além disso, descreve a implementação do CEE e as tecnologias utilizadas.
