Abstract
An investigation of dynamic behavior of an Indonesian designed and manufactured minibus body has been carried out for determining its modal parameters. For this purpose a finite element modeling of the minibus body has been performed using PAFEC finite element package program.
To support the theoretical results then the minibus body is investigated experimentally by measuring the frequency response functions through out the body. The modal parameters are extracted from the inertance measured data. For this purpose a curve fitting method based on general case viscous damping has been developed.
The obtained results show a good agreement between the theoretical and the experimental data.
