Rapid Development of New Product Concepts Using Teamwork

Abstract
This paper presents the methodology for using cross functional teams to rapidly develop new diesel fuel injection product designs and associated manufacturing processes. The focus of this paper is on developing concepts for new products in a very short time using input from employees and key suppliers. This methodology can be applied to products at any phase of their development including the research phase, product development phase, and improvement of existing products.
