Abstract
A multi-channel boost voltage regulator with two-loop control system is modeled and simulated using an equivalent single channel circuit. The equivalent circuit is derived based on the operation concept of the multi-channel PWM converter. Techniques to develop small-signal and large-signal models using EASY5 program are introduced to minimize the modeling efforts. The control loop gain and transient response are simulated and the results are verified with hardware measurements.
