Abstract
Generator temperatures in the H2O-NH3, iNO3-NH3 and NaSCN-NH3 cycles, using iBr-H2O cycle at the first stager have een optimized corresponding to the minimum area and hence, the minimum cost of solar-collector required to operate two-stage dual-fluid cycles. Lowering the absorber temperature reduces heat input to the generator, lowers the generator temperature and improves performance of the absorption systems at the second stage. The optimum generator temperatures obtained for the given cycles are found to be in the working range for which the ordinary flat plate collectors, with two glass covers, are designed. The optimum generator temperature and the performance coefficients have been presented graphically.
