A Robust Adaptive Control for Vehicle Active Suspension Systems

This paper is concerned with the design of a robust model reference adaptive controller for vehicle active suspension system. The proportional plus integral (PPI) adaptive law incorporated gives the required degree of robustness and superior performance than the simple active controller reported for active suspension system. The entire scheme has been reduced to an equivalent system resembling a servo and Lyapunov theory has been applied to establish the superior performance of this scheme. This has been made possible by employing a novel Lyapunov function proposed earlier.
