Abstract
A partial flow dilution tunnel has been developed and tested to measure the particulate emission exhausted from diesel engines. The accuracy of measured value of particulate emission is influenced considerably by the length of the particulate transfer tube attached between the exhaust pipe and dilution tunnel and its wall temperature. In this paper, these effect on particulate deposition was discussed using both results of the calculation based on the thermophoretic model and experiment.
