Reliability Interpretation for the Optimal Life Design At the Partial Through Crack

In this paper, we discussed the statistical reliability method which interprets the partial through crack on the basis of the crack progress rate of a CT test piece in order to interpret the fatigue crack spread in a mechanical structure. We made a numerical calculation program based on the concept of linear elasticity fracture mechanics and conducted research on the interpretation of the progress of surface crack with the database which are composed of the large data from the past experiments.
