Knock Limit Compression Ratio in Direct Injection Hydrogen Fueled Spark Ignition Engine

Thermal efficiency in hydrogen fueled engine is a function of compression ratio. Therefore, knock limit compression ratio in hydrogen fueled engine was investigated by use of variable compression ratio hydrogen fueled engine.
It was found that knock limit compression ratio in hydrogen fueled engine is about 11, which is 23 higher than that in gasoline engine.
