Theoretical and Experimental Study on Drum Brake Squeal

In this paper a theoretical model for brake squeal analysis is established by using the Finite Element Method, thus it is possible to analyze brake squeal quantitatively. Experimental study on brake squeal is also carried out and the results in theoretical and experimental study are shown in good agreement.
