Minicomputer Part-Task Simulation for Helicopter Development-An Economical Approach

Abstract
An economical part-task simulator for providing quantitative optimization of helicopter cockpit layout and displays has been built. The steps followed to confer real-time minicomputer application of a simplified flight model (FLYRT), is outlined, as is the control law development needed for 4-axis sidearm controller application. Instrument display variable synthesis, based on calculated variables is discussed.
