Using an in-car instrumentation may sometimes even conflict with driving requirements. Drivers can easily solve such problems provided designers have taken the necessary precautions by providing for optimum display location, and clear organization, and by allowing good legibility in all conditions of illumination.
The purpose of the present paper is to list the required standards and identify the gaps to be filled in by appropriate research.
