Analysis and Certification of the Starship All-Composite Airframe

Abstract
Beech Aircraft has completed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification of the all graphite/epoxy Starship 1 business airplane. This paper describes the analysis and test procedures developed and documented during the FAA certification program. These procedures satisfy Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 23) and the special conditions pertaining to composite certification.
