Abstract
Introducing multiplexed body wiring systems into today's fairly electronic automobiles is becoming essential. However the biggest barrier of its higher cost prevents its practical application for us, automobile manufacturer.
We, at DAIHATSU, have tried to break through the barrier by introducing some idea into the system and have developed a prototype system which will be applicable even to our sub-compact sized vehicles.
In this paper, some fundamental considerations and conditions to realize a practical system are discussed first. There it follows, our communication system developed under the conditions is introduced. Finally, the application of the prototype system to the DAIHATSU Charade is evaluated.
