Abstract
Incandescent lamp bulbs have a long history. In cars, they are widely used as the light sources for headlights and signal lights. However, the more recent halogen lamp bulbs have now taken the lead as the light source for headlights, and incandescent lamp bulbs are losing their ground. For this reason, we decided that aside from research on halogen lamp bulbs, we should return to the starting point with research on incandescent lamp bulbs in order to re-evaluate their position. As a result of extensive research, we have developed an incandescent lamp for automobiles with a high performance equal to that of halogen lamps. We have named this the “μ84”, and hereby report on it.
