Abstract
With the increasing sophistication of today's automobiles, the electronics required for control are also becoming more complex. The evolution of the microprocessor has now advanced to the 16/32 bit plateau. In addition, several integrated circuits have been combined into one. This paper will discuss microprocessor controlled systems in automobiles, particularly, how a Motorola MC68332 could be used to control an engine.
