Abstract
The Technological Dimensions of International Competitiveness and their implications to industry, government, and universities are summarized from a National Academy of Engineering study. The capabilities industrial representatives say they want in new-engineering graduates are summarized. Finally, the response of universities in general, and the University of Missouri-Rolla in particular, to these needs is discussed.
