Abstract
A computer program was developed to simulate the ride dynamics of a forest machine. The simulation's performance was evaluated by comparing measured and predicted vibration levels for a skidder crossing a test track. The shapes of the measured and predicted frequency distributions were not significantly different. However, there were some differences in vibration magnitude. A method for incorporating ride analysis into the design of forest machines is also reviewed.
