Abstract
Voice computer input technology is now available for use by line workers on the factory floor. The system consists of a headset, with a microphone and speakers, which connect the operator to a computer system. The computer prompts the operator to provide information in the programmed sequence.
The operator is free to walk around and maintain use of his hands to perform other normal functions while providing data feedback. Timely and accurate information can be communicated to the appropriate sources for immediate correction without third party involvement.
