Abstract
Generally the axle and its suspension has - among other vehicle features - a very definite role in determination of vehicle ride characteristics.
Both the front and the rear axles have special parameters which change in the range of suspension.
These parameters and their changes have influence on pitching motion, lateral stability, steering tendency, direction stability and on yawing.
The correlation between wheel geometry and ride characteristics has been proved mathematically and also by tests carried out in laboratory an on test track.
The mathematical analysing method is suitable for computer program and also for optimizing procedure.
