Abstract
In this paper the terms used in the discussion and presentation of propeller and Prop-Fan geometric and performance terms are defined. The derivation of the terms used is presented as well as the historical background of the performance prediction methods. A discussion of the interactions of the propeller/nacelle/airplane is also included.
