Abstract
End-face type seals (mechanical seals) have been applied as a sealing device for the automotive air conditioning compressor. However, in the practical market, oil or gas leakage from sealing devices sometimes occures based on blistering phenomena of carbon piece and lubricating conditions between rubbing surfaces.
The paper presents good sealing performance for the developed face type mechanical seals.
