This paper outlines the issues, the principles and a methodology that can assist Chief Executives to plan their Business of the Future utilising advanced product and process technology and systems to achieve a significant advance in performance in the market place. The method exploits the virtues of focus, simplicity and the reduction of uncertainty to solve manufacturing problems at source. Five years experience in a variety of European manufacturing plants have proved the method in practice.
