Abstract
An air suspension seat has been developed for off-highway machines according to guidelines established by manufacturers of such machines. Specific criteria include; ride performance equal to current hydro-pneumatic suspensions, meet all applicable safety standards, seat function controls engineered to correct human factors and aesthetic appeal to complement the industrial design of the cabs.
A wide range of features and adjustments have been designed to properly locate the operator in the cab for safe and productive operation of the machine.
The suspension seat utilizes a new electronics package developed for suspension control and provides the foundation for accomodating future advances in ride control.
