Welding Plastics for the Automotive Industry

Abstract
Welding techniques are increasingly being used for joining thermoplastic materials in automotive industry applications where joint integrity is critical. A review is given of the various welding processes, emphasizing joint quality obtainable, welding times, and suitability for different applications. A number of specific applications are described.
