AC Impedance Analysis of a Liquid Crystal Display

Abstract
Impedance spectroscopy has been applied to the characterization of a guest-host liquid crystal cell. It has been shown that a five-element equivalent circuit model can describe the electrochemical properties of the LCD. Agreement between the model-fitted and the actual experimental data is excellent. The methodology of the ac impedance technique has been described and equivalent circuit analysis procedures for interpreting the ac spectrum have been illustrated.
