Abstract
A self-contained data acquisition system for anthropomorphic dummies Part 572 has been developed for acquiring and transmitting data in pedestrian and 2 wheeled vehicle driver impact tests, or in tests were a single “stand-alone” dummy is required.
Data transmission is performed by radio link and the dummy is free from any external constraint.
Test data were presented from pedestrian and 2 wheeled vehicle driver tests.
The system, after performance evaluation is currently used at the FIAT crash test facilities.
