Abstract
This paper describes some brief results and situation in researching test and evaluation method of automobile reliability in People's Republic of China. To evaluate vehicle reliability, we classify failures as four classes according to their harmfulness, we use five indexes to quantitatively evaluate the vehicle reliability level. Using simulation design procedure in computer, we constructed reliability test roads which applied the conception of auto-power spectrum density and cross-power spectrum density for surface roughness. We use Weibull distribution function to treat the component life data, and we have found that the vehicle system failure data is conformed to Poison random process and the accumulative failure number function can be expressed as an exponential function of time.
