Abstract
Heat development in an engine can be resulted by different causes including improper fuel to air ratio and, to a large extent, high ambient temperature. While many investigators look into the problem mostly from combustion phenomena point of view, this paper discusses this heat effect rather from the fuel flow point of view which, hopefully, can contribute to a better understanding of the engine power degradation phenomena of a vehicle operating in hot climates.
