Abstract
The objectives of aerodynamic design of passenger vehicles are reviewed in view of performance, handling and dynamic stability. Vehicle configurations for optimum aerodynamic performance are discussed and analysed, taking into account recent progress and development. The influence of appendages and fixtures are elaborated. Illustrations from recent experimental results are presented.
