Abstract
An installation used in laboratory conditions for continuous electroplating of metals and bi-metals on carbon fibers had been designed and fabricated. Factors affecting the quality of the coating during each step of electroplating were investigated. coatings of nickel, cobalt, copper, nickel-titanium alloy, copper/ nickel and copper/cobalt on carbon fibers were successfully obtained with this installation.
