Abstract
Several improvements have been made to the Advanced Environmental Control System (AECS) computer program that enhance its value for vapor cycle modeling. These comprise improvements to existing components in the program and new subroutines. The changes provide a means for listing thermodynamic fluid properties as a function of temperature and pressure, the estimation of two-phase refrigerant properties, and the sizing of vapor compressors.
