Abstract
In the last few years an increased emphasis on high performance OEM sound systems has been paralleled by concomitant upgrades in loudspeaker ratings and requirements. These performance upgrades have been realized, despite space considerations that limit the package size of the speaker.
Through an analysis of low frequency performance simulations and specific cone radiation behavior, a rough estimate of performance vs. package size is possible; thereby identifying potential tradeoffs before engaging in a lengthy prototype phase.
