Abstract
The designers of the automotive gear box always struggle to reduce its size and weight. So an exact computation of bending stress of gear teeth turns to be an important problem. In this paper the proper selection of boundary restriction of calculated scheme of gear tooth has been discussed. With using the finite element method, the influence of structural parameters of gear on its bending stress has been evaluated. The accuracy of the calculated results has been proved by experiments.
