Abstract
The Space Shuttle Orbiter Environmental Control and Life Support System (EC/LSS) functions to provide life support for the Shuttle Orbiter crew members and active cooling for Shuttle Orbiter equipment and payloads. This paper describes four of the major subsystems of the Shuttle Orbiter EC/LSS and reviews the performance of these systems through the first three Space Shuttle flights.
