Abstract
The two broad aspects of quality are “Quality of Design” and “Quality of Conformance”. Therefore, the total cost of product quality is the sum of the costs associated with design quality and conformance quality. This conformance quality cost is also referred to as “Quality Cost in Manufacturing”. The paper examines the optimum quality cost in manufacturing and its impact on productivity.
