Abstract
A mathematical technique for predicting the dynamic behavior of modified structures is presented. The dynamics of the structure, before modification, are represented by its modal properties. This paper, therefore, begins with a review of modal analysis, and discusses some aspects of measurement that influences the quality of modal parameter estimatss. Following the explanation of the method of Structural Dynamics Modification, an illustratiom of the use of the technique with an easily verifiable example is presented.
