Abstract
New technology re-refined motor oils have been demonstrated to meet engine test performance criteria for API Service Classification SE/CC and have received approval under Military Specification MIL-L-46152A. The new re-refining technology, PROP (Phillips Re-refined Oil Process), is described. The procedure adopted to demonstrate re-refined oil equivalency to virgin base oil quality is outlined. ASTM Sequence and other standardized engine test results are reported.
