Abstract
Engineering managers should return to the basics of scientific inquiry to be more effective leaders. The basic scientific method used by management pioneers can be applied to the process of leadership to ascertain the most effective methods of managing subordinates. The concept of Scientific Leadership combines the trusted techniques of scientific analysis with modern behavioral knowledge to develop a leadership approach which is custom designed to increase the productivity of each employee.
