Abstract
An analytical method is described for evaluating the effect of design changes on tractor ride. The method uses a digital computer program implementing a three-dimensional nonlinear mathematical model for simulating tractor rigid body vibration resulting from travel over a specified test track. Spectral and modal analyses are used to interpret the simulation results and provide a qualitative evaluation of the effects on ride of a given design change.
