Abstract
Technical developments in hot rolled, cold rolled, and heat treated HSLA steels are reviewed. A wide range of material properties have been produced through a variety of strengthening mechanisms and processing innovations. The results
of laboratory and mill experiments are used to describe improvements in microalloyed and renitrogenized hot and cold rolled steels, heavily temper rolled steels, and heat treated strip products.
