Abstract
Energy, pollution abatement, and economic factors are increasing the sealing requirements for gaskets. Sealability, Creep Relaxation, and Gasket Compression Tests are described which permit the logical design of a gasket to make and assure a long time satisfactory seal for each application. Test equipment is described and an example of sealing wavy flanges is given.
