Abstract
This paper presents automotive requirements for electronic digital displays. Light emitting, light reflecting, and light absorbing technologies are considered independently. The drive circuits, interconnects, and dimming aspects are considered as part of automotive requirements.
Several digital display system techniques fundamental to an effective display are presented in terms of examples for speed and fuel displays.
